“Gender Blender” by Blake Nelson

FROM A KINNELON LIBRARY TEEN REVIEWER:

"Gender Blender" was a great summer read. Nelson portrays the mysterious inner life of the American teenager with great accuracy. It also shows the hardships of teenagers during their early teenage years.

Emma and Tom were two childhood best friends. They did everything together and told everything to one another. As they grew older, they naturally drifted apart. But when suddenly they switch bodies, that may soon change. An old Eskimo curse is upon them and they are forced to get along with selfless friendship. Hormones start to take over the lives of these two teenagers. Tom and Emma desperately want to be themselves again. Very realistic emotions, and the book portrays the teenage life in a very precise manner.

I finished this book in a matter of hours. It was a page turner!
